v-chip

We occasionally call Steve “v-chip” when he sits in front of the television, because he has a fantastic knack for sitting perfectly in front of the sensor so we can’t change the volume or channel.

One of the only pros when we got our big clunky cable box was that he couldn’t block us from changing the channels anymore without some fancy acrobatics. That changed this afternoon when he figured out that the cable box is warm and just about the perfect size for his front half - now he can stretch across it, dangle a paw in front of its eye, and leave his hindquarters positioned to block the tv’s eye. He’s also sitting up high enough on it that we can’t see the left half of the crawl.

Is it weird that we think he knows that he’s blocking it? He just looks so satisfied sitting there…
